The shape of Crystal Palace Park for generations to come will be decided over the coming months.

After decades of neglect, the park, one of the marvels of Victorian Britain, could again become a destination of regional and national significance.

In October this year the London Development Agency (LDA) intends to submit its £67.2million masterplan to the planning authority, Bromley Council.

By autumn 2008, Bromley is expected to have made its decision on the plans - opening the way for the long-awaited redevelopment of this wonderful and historic park.

This masterplan will have an impact on the lives of hundreds of thousands of people living in the five surrounding boroughs.

Getting it right is crucial - and that depends on ensuring it genuinely meets the hopes and aspirations of local people.

Which is why this website will bring you all the latest information about the masterplan and the park as it emerges, as well as giving you the chance to have your say and help shape Crystal Palace Park for the 21st century.
