Pupils from secondary schools got the chance to go behind the scenes at the police station.
Students from across the borough met some of the Met’s specialist teams during a work experience fortnight at Sutton Police station during July.
The teenagers were provided with a guided tour around the police station and learnt about a number of specialist Met police teams including the sexual offences team, counter terrorism and youth offending teams.
They also got to meet some police dogs and visit the Mounted Branch at Imber Court, East Molesey, Surrey.
Volunteer police cadet co-ordinator, Police Constable Peter Lytton, who oversees the work experience programme, said: "The youngsters were keen to learn about the police and how we work with the public to keep communities safe."
The pupils were from a number of schools including Carshalton Girls, Carshalton Boys, Glenthorne, Stanley Park, Wandle Valley, Wilson’s, St Philomena’s and Overton Grange.
