Young readers and writers of all abilities will be able to enjoy a seven week literary festival at libraries across the county starting next month.
Beginning on May 24, the Surrey Libraries’ Festival for Children will allow children to read and write more, along with encouraging them to explore their creative talents.
Events will take place at libraries across the county, with a number of activity packed days hosted by libraries in Elmbridge.
A creative writing workshop with young people’s laureate for Wales Martin Daws takes place at Walton library on May 24, with a drawing session in the style of Sir Quentin Blake held the same day at Dittons library.
Storytelling with Patrick Ryan for children aged three and up will also take place in two separate sessions at Dittons library and Molesey library on June 14.
