Under fire Attorney General Baroness Scotland came to a Tulse Hill school last week to discuss the criminal justice system with students.
The Government’s top lawyer, who hit the headlines in September for employing an illegal immigrant, was at St Martin-in-the-Fields High School for Girls to talk to year 11, 12 and 13 pupils.
Students got the chance to quiz her about a number of issues, including different sentence lengths, and the importance of restorative programmes, especially for young offenders.
Representatives from the police and a youth worker were also there to answer questions and talk about their roles in the justice system.
