ACS Cobham International School pupils wowed audiences with their rendition of the hit West End musical We Will Rock You.

More than 90 students, aged 14 to 18, were involved in the production - including cast, musicians and technical crew.

The three performances on November 25, 26 and 27 were the result of 10 weeks of rehearsals.

Darryl Nel, head of arts at the school said: “We Will Rock You has powerful youth energy and is both fun and challenging for the students to be involved in.

“Schools don’t often get the opportunity to perform shows that are this new, so it is a real honour and a great opportunity that we were able to choose this for our high school production this term.

“The musical performances in We Will Rock You are very high energy and demanding for our musicians but it is a wonderful chance for them to expand their repertoire and experiment with the different styles represented in Queen’s music.”

Students taking part in the musical, particularly those working in the technical crew, accrued hours for the creativity, action and service element of the International Baccalaureate, which is studied at the school.
