Outstanding spellers at a school have made it to the next round of a national competition.
Wilson’s School in Wallington won their heat of the 2011 Times newspaper’s Spelling Bee contest held at the Greenwich 02 Cineworld cinema on April 8.
Vishal Shah, 11, Alec Walker, 12, Robert Lander, 12, and Luke Shortland, 12, overcame competion from nine other schools to reach the semi-finals of the competiton, which has been entered by over 1000 schools nationwide.
They made it through spelling words like "manipulate" and "knowledge."
