Students at Blenheim High School participated in sponsored events to raise more than £3,500 for the Royal Marsden Hospital.

When Megan White, a student in Year 8, had Hodgkins Lymphoma diagnosed just before Christmas her sister Charlotte began planning school fundraising events, to raise money for the Royal Marsden Hospital which is providing her sister’s care.

The whole school community became involved in a range of events, including a sponsored run with more than 50 students and staff taking part.

Proceeds from the end of term staff extravaganza were also donated to the cause and one student held a sponsored silence for 24 hours, raising more than £50.

A total of £3,549.27 was raised and handed over to Janet Tobin from the Royal Marsden Hospital.

Headteacher Teresa Leech, said: “The whole school is behind Megan every step of the way and I am proud of the way the school community has supported Charlotte with her fundraising activities.”
