Police were called to Chessington Community College after an alleged scuffle between a parent and two teachers.
Kingston police were called at about 1.50pm, on Wednesday, September 21, following a complaint a pupil had been assaulted by a college staff member.
In a statement, principal Rob Niedermaier-Reed said: “The college received a complaint from a member of the public alleging an assault by a member of staff at the college.”
He said the college was also investigating allegations of threats made by a member of the public towards a member of staff and intimidating behaviour by the same person against another staff member.
He said: “The college will follow its complaints and staff discipline policies. Once the matter has been fully investigated, the college will take appropriate action.”
A spokesman for Kingston police said: “We were called to reports of an alleged common assault at Chessington Community College.
“Upon investigation it was deemed the college would deal with the incident without further police involvement.”
