Ten students had a behind-the-scenes tour at police stables, to meet the horses that will be on duty at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the London 2012.
The 15-year-old students from Cheam High School visiting the stables at the Metropolitan Police’s sports and social club in East Molesey as part in a week-long work experience placement at the police.
As well as seeing the horses, they visited the Met’s Police Dog Training Centre at Keston and the Met’s Territorial Support Group at Catford as well as having a tour of Sutton Police Station, sitting in the back of police vehicles in prisoner seats, and taking part in role plays about radio procedure and stop and searches.
