On Wednesday there will be a a celebration in memory of the late Art Wood at the Eel Pie Club, at the Cabbage Patch, Twickenham, to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Charity.

Wood, who died of prostate cancer in 2006, was the vocalist of the Artwoods, Alexis Korner and The Art Wood All-Stars and he was also the older brother of Rolling Stone, Ronnie Wood.

The Eel Pie gig will mark Wood’s birthday and the music will be provided by the Eel Pie All-Stars led by guitarist and co-owner of the club, Tom Nolan with Don Craine and Keith Grant (Downliners Sect), Chris Hunt (ex Lonnie Donegan Band, Thunderclap Newman) and Dave Lennox (ex Blodwyn Pig). There will also be appearances by a number of special guests including former guitarists of the Artwoods, Derek Griffiths.
