Roof catches fire in Purley Roof catches fire in Purley

The roof of a bungalow undergoing a loft conversion caught fire yesterday morning.

The London Fire Brigade received multiple calls to a roof fire in Brighton Road, Purley, just before 12pm yesterday.

No-one was hurt and everyone had evacuated by the time the fire brigade had arrived.

The fire is thought to have caused considerable damage to the timbers.
