Fifteen firefighters attended the house fire in Thornton Heath
A man escaped uninjured from a house fire in Thornton Heath this morning.
London Fire Brigade were called to Fountain Road at 7.38am where a semi detached house was on fire.
Fifty per cent of the ground floor was damaged by the time the fire was put out.
The man who had escaped from the house before firefighters arrived, was treated at the scene for slight smoke inhalation.
Fifteen firefighters from West Norwood and Norbury Fire Station were called to the incident.
