Thirteen people have been charged after a series of dawn raids targeting drug dealers.

Large amounts of cash, heroin and crack cocaine were seized after around 350 police smashed down the doors of suspected drug dealers in Merton, Wandsworth, Croydon, Lambeth and Lewisham on September 19 as part of Operation Burney.

A total of 26 people were arrested with 13 now charged with various drug offences. Their ages range from 14 to 51-years-old.

The operation mobilised following mounting concerns over drug dealing on the High Path Estate in south Wimbledon.

It involved the Met's Territorial Support Group, dog unit, Trident's central gangs unit, Serious, organised and economic crime command's financial investigation unit and Safer Neighbourhoods teams. 

Those charged are:

• Michael Ankers, 29, of Wentworth Road, Croydon charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin.

• Christopher McCarthy, 29, of Miller Road, Wimbledon, charged with conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin.

• Kwaw Anfam, 23,  of Boutflower Road, Battersea, charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin.

• Kim Braggins, 51, of Tooting Bec Road, Tooting, charged with conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin.

• Madala Washington, 23,  of Abbey Parade, Wimbledon, charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin.

• Victor Martin, 20, 24.11.92, of Croft Road, Wimbledon, charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin.

• A 16-year-old male of Wandsworth borough, who can not be named, charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin.

• A 14-year-old male of Croydon, who can not be named, charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin.

• Nathaniel Gow Jarvis, 21 of Caithness Road, Mitcham, charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine, heroin, and cannabis.

• Richard Bailey, 24, of Eveline Road, Mitcham, charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine, heroin, and cannabis.

• Duainne Nelson, 18, of Rustic Avenue, Streatham, charged with conspiracy to supply cannabis.

• Michael Campbell, 18, of Belgrave Walk, Mitcham, charged with the supply of cannabis.

• A 17-year-old male of Wandsworth, who can not be named for legal reasons, charged with offering to supply crack cocaine.

All appeared before South Western Magistrates Court on Friday, September 20, and Saturday, September 21.

They will next appear before Kingston Crown Court on October 5.
