A car thief escaped from police despite a manhunt on road, air and foot.
Officers pursued the driver, travelling in a stolen black Fiat Punto, after spotting it in Stroud Green Way, Addisombe, at about 2.35am yesterday (April 8).
Five people fled from the vehicle and the Metropolitan Police's air support unit and dog unit joined Croydon and Bromley officers in the chase.
Two boys, aged 17, and two girls aged 15 and 18 were arrested on suspicion of allowing themselves to be carried in a stolen vehicle.
But the driver of the car remains at large.
