A Polish man who committed more than 80 burglaries has been arrested by Croydon police have on a European Arrest Warrant.
Officers arrested Kris Mugacz this morning after confirming he was wanted in Poland.
The European Arrest Warrant says he has an outstanding sentence of five year imprisonment to serve in Poland in relation to convictions for 81 burglaries.
Officers from the Selhurst Safer Neighbourhood team came into contact with Mugacz when they investigated a squat in Selhurst Road last month.
After further enquiries they found he was subject to a European Arrest Warrant and officers arrested him when they spotted him on patrol this morning.
He is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today.
