A new café has opened in Wandle Park to add to the growing list of attractions for the increasing numbers of visitors who enjoy riverside walks in Croydon.
Run by a catering firm which has been established for more than 20 years, Wandle park café prides itself in ethically and locally sourced or fairtrade products.
The café, which is run by Kevin and Sarah French, will be serving breakfasts, sandwiches, main meals and hot and cold drinks.
There is also a children’s menu to cater for the many families who use the park’s playgrounds.
Councillor Timothy Godfrey, cabinet member for culture, leisure and sport, said: "We are ambitious for Croydon and we want every park to be welcoming to all residents in this way.
"This cafe is a brilliant new facility and I encourage residents to try it out as soon as possible."
