An Uzi submachine gun has been found in Croydon Cemetery.
Croydon crime squad officers seized the gun - an Israeli-designed weapon that can fire 600 rounds per minute - at about 2.15pm today after searching the cemetery off Mitcham Road, Croydon.
Croydon police are working with the Trident gang unit to find out who stashed the gun in the cemetery.
Anyone with information should call Croydon CID on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
No arrests have been made.
