Three people have been arrested after a 23-year-old man was stabbed in South Norwood.

Police were called to reports of a group of males "causing a disturbance" in Parry Road at 3.20am on Sunday. 

The group had left by the time officers arrived, but police found the man suffering stab wounds in nearby Michael Road at 3.50am.

He was taken to hospital with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening.

A witness told the Croydon Guardian: "There was blood in the middle of the road, even going up to the doorstep."

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

Detectives from Croydon are investigating.
