A grandmother who predicted she would live to be older than 100 has marked the milestone with a birthday celebration.
Daisy Skinner from Colliers Wood celebrated her hundredth birthday with a family party.
She grew up and went to school in Battersea, but later married moved to Dryden Road in Wimbledon after her marriage to Frederick Skinner.
The couple had three children - all boys - and Mrs Skinner now has six grandchildren, as well as great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In later life Mrs Skinner, who had worked as a cleaner at the Decca Records factory in New Malden, moved to South Norwood and then eight years ago to Trellis House in Colliers Wood.
Mrs Skinner turned 100 on January 31. Her daughter-in-law June Skinner said: "For years she told me and the boys she was going to live to 100 - and now she has done it."
