TV star Destroyer from cult show Gladiators turned out to congratulate the winner of a gym challenge to change his physique.

Steel Gym, established by John Steel last year in unused industrial space, New Addington, welcomed Destroyer, Damar Martin, on Saturday April 21 to a celebratory BBQ ending a three month challenge to members to tone up.

The winner, Timothy Bartlett, won £100 cash and £100 worth of sports supplements.

Mr Steel, who knows Mr Martin from his bodybuilding days, said: ”This was a reward for everyone who has been part of the challenge.”
