Families with sick or disabled children have praised the Hospital at Home team.
A survey carried out last October shows all but one respondent rated the service "valuable", while the majority of families thought they were listened to, involved in decisions about their care and found staff to be caring and concerned.
Additional comments praised the team, which supports an average of 160 children each month, for "coming to the rescue", "putting me at ease" and "helping in anyway possible".
Judy Ardley, clinical team leader, said: "It's really good to know we are meeting the needs of so many families, making it easier and less stressful for them to cope with their child's condition."
