Eighth arrest in drive-by shooting case

A 25-year-old man has become the eighth person to be arrested in connection with the killing of a teenager on a housing estate in Tulse Hill.

The man handed himself in to police in south London today following the death of 18-year-old Nana Darko Frempong in June last year. He remains in custody.

Three men have previously been charged with murder.

Tafari Deacon, 26, of Streatham High Road, Christopher Gabriel, of Melfort Road, Thornton Heath and Nathan Deacon, 24, of Paulet Road, Camberwell will appear at the Old Bailey in July for a plea and case management hearing.

They will be joined by another group of three- Romario Henry, 21, of Cormont Road, Camberwell, Al Daniels, 22, of Pathfield Road, Streatham and , Sachia Clarke, 22, of High Trees, Tulse Hill.

That group face charges of perverting the course of justice, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of firearms respectively.

Another person was arrested but released without charge.
