Final preparations under way for New Addington People's Carnival

Final preparations are under way for the New Addington People's Carnival taking place this weekend.

The annual event which takes place in Milne Park, New Addington, will see a car boot sale on both days and a fancy dress competition, which is open to all ages.

Resident's will have the chance to show off their skills and talents at the New Addington's Got Talent show, and there will also be a procession before the carnival's King and Queen are crowned.

There are still opportunities for clubs, groups and businesses to take part and advertise by joining Sunday's Procession.

A spokeswoman for the said: "The committee would be pleased to receive any donations for raffle or competition prizes and there is boot-sale space for both the Saturday and Sunday."
