Three people arrested in connection with the park stabbing of a schoolboy have been bailed.

The 14-year-old was stabbed during a fight involving a large number of youths in Lloyd Park on Wednesday evening.

Emergency services were called to the scene and found the boy suffering from a stab wound to the chest. He remains in a stable condition and his injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life changing.

The three males arrested, one of whom is aged 20 and two are aged 15, have been bailed to return on August 28, pending further enquiries.
