A burst water main has created an impromptu water feature outside Croydon Council offices.
At its height, the plume of water was about four stories high, attracting the attention of motorists using the busy roundabout.
The incident on Park Lane, at it's junctions with Barclay Road, Croydon Flyover, Fell Road and Katharine Street, happened shortly before 2pm.
It is understood the leak is ongoing, though workmen have used a digger bucket to reduce the plume to about one storey high.
A spokeswoman for Thames Water said: "A six inch pipe has burst, which was caused by a third party.
"We have a team there at the moment, and it will be repaired as soon as possible."
