A disabled woman was raped and attacked by three men in a horrific attack in a quiet residential street in Thornton Heath.

The attack happened while the woman was passing a house in Upton Road. Detectives investigating the shocking and sickening attack said one of the men pushed her between two parked cars while another stood behind her and sexually assaulted her.

She was then pushed into a nearby alleyway and pushed to the ground by two of the men. The third suspect stayed at the end of the alleyway acting as a look out.

Two of the suspects then carried out a serious sexual assault on the victim. They also stole her handbag that was later recovered minus some of its contents in Burlington Road, Thornton Heath.

The attack lasted around 10 minutes after which the men ran away from the scene of their horrific crime.

Witness appeal boards have been placed in and around the location of the assault and police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone who saw the men carrying the bag to contact them.

The first male was described as black, approximately 25 years of age, wearing light coloured clothing. The second was also black, approximately 25 years of age and wearing jeans. The third man was described as dark European of the same age wearing light coloured clothing.
