A family who featured on a prime time television programme about neighbours from hell have been evicted from their home in New Addington.
Council tenant Lynn Sealy, 48, and her family were thrown out following complaints from neighbours about cars in their garden.
The family appeared on an ITV programme in the 1990s. At the time they were warned with eviction if they did not clear their garden of rubbish and cars.
Although they initially removed the vehicles they returned to their antisocial ways and the council was not prepared to give them a second chance.
Using an earlier ruling against Mrs Sealy in 2003, when she was given a possession order by a judge for not paying her rent, housing officers were able to evict the family from the three-bedroom property in Corbett Close without fresh court proceedings.
“If you neglect your council home or cause intolerable nuisance to your neighbours we will catch up with you and, if you continue to behave in an antisocial manner without any regard for other people, you will lose your home.”
Councillor Dudley Mead
Councillor Dudley Mead, cabinet member for housing, said: "Our message to anyone who thinks that they are above the law is that you can run but you can't hide.

Mrs Sealy did not oppose the eviction, according to the council, but left before the bailffs arrived.
Housing officers found the house wrecked with broken windows and the family has since been billed for the damage and cleaning costs.
Isn't it awful. All these people that are on a waiting list for somewhere to live, (No matter what their background) who would respect it and then you get these dregs of humanity. Just to make sure that it was inhabitable for a while they even vandalised it before they left!!

I think they should be re-housed in prison. These people make me sick and it would appear to have taken about 10 years before they were evicted and then for non payment of rent not their anti-social behaviour!!!

If this Councillor (a Cabinet member no less ) can state this once the Sealy has been removed why did it take all this time to get shot of this undesirable tenant?

Wouldn't be surprised if a couple of wasters further delayed things by protesting about the family's human rights.

The law is a ****, as Mr. Bumble would say. It has the power to kick these sub-human turds out of their home but it fails so to do for years on end.
The unfortunate and law-abiding neighbours are left in limbo whilst the scumbags prosper in their hell-holes.
Extractum Digitums is or should be the watchword for these silly **** called councils. Do NOT wait for ages, get on with the eviction with all speed. [bold]One strike and you're out should be the rule today![/bold]

And now they will be rehoused in some other area and in ten years time it will be another eviction with shattered neighbours left behind.
Authorities need the slogan "No more victims"
