A council tenant is being evicted from her home of 10 years after allowing her boyfriend to use it as a drugs den.

Tracy Wilding, 42, is being thrown out of the Claygate Crescent home after Croydon County Court granted Croydon council permission to reclaim the home on Thursday.

The court heard police raided the home in April last year, seizing two bags of cannabis, 11.8g of cocaine, 20 bags of cannabis seeds, electronic scales and £420 in cash.

A second raid in December uncovered more bags of cannabis and cocaine and a stun gun.

Wilding's boyfriend Neil Anthony Allen, 28, was then stopped twice more near the house in January and June this year, with police seizing cocaine, bags of speed and a brick-sized block of cannabis.

Allen of Underwood, New Addington pleaded guilty to possession of a Class A drug and a Class C drug on June 1 last year, possession of a Class A drug, a Class C drug and a prohibited automatic weapon on Feb 15.

He received community punishment and drugs rehabilitation orders on March 10 but was arrested again on June 11 for possession of a Class C drug, for which he was fined £140.

Allen was again arrested on January 10 for drugs offences and pleaded guilty on June 13 at Croydon Crown Court to possession of Class A, B and C drugs with intent to supply. He is currently on remand awaiting sentencing on July 11.

Judge David Ellis granted a possession order against Wilding on Thursday, criticising her for making no effort to stop the criminal activity taking place at the house.

He concluded there was repeated evidence of drug abuse and conduct likely to cause a nuisance to residents.

He said that selling drugs in the house could lead to other criminal activity.

Wilding has 14 days to move out.

Councillor Dudley Mead, deputy leader and cabinet member for housing, said: "Ms Wilding was given every opportunity to put a stop to the criminal activity taking place in her council home but she thought she could get away with it.

"We take a tough line with any tenant involved in dealing in drugs and those who do can expect to be dealt with swiftly."

Just like to say to c may and mark, parkway, its good to see that there are still some easily pleased people out there. All they have to do is manipulate a few words and add a few more, and people like you two can kid yourself that society is a better place. Maybe you two would be better taking a media class then you might be able to be more objective and less judgemental. Unless you are happy believing everything you read in the papers. Lets face it, if the papers did print the truth and were completely honest and upfront with people would the story be that interesting? So with that in mind who are the real scumbags? society who provide the general story, the reporters who add thier tupence worth or the brain dead who take it all as gospel!

Once again i have to explain to you c may you do not know these people so you are making your judgment simply on 4 paragraphs of writing about them by someone looking for juicy gossip to sell their papers, and as a matter of fact yes i would welcome them in my street and even my home as those 'wate of spaces' as you put it, are in fact my brother and his girlfriend! This as you might say will make me biast, and yes you're probably right, but then i have known my brother for 28 years and i have also known his girlfriend for 10 years so in my opinion that gives me every right, and i sure as hell know alot more than 4 paragraphs.

Sam. The Guardian is a free publication. The money the paper makes is from its advertising revenue.

Secondly, are you saying the guardian got the facts wrong then? I can appreciate you wouldnt want your immediately family slated like that, I'd defend my brother down to the ground. But you cant argue with two bags of cannabis, 11.8g of cocaine, 20 bags of cannabis seeds and a partridge in a pear tree!

Fact is, your brother is on remand for a good reason. Selling drugs is illegal.

Perhaps you could point out which parts of the article are incorrect? I'm not having a dig, I'm honestly interested?

sam you must be very proud of your brother caught trying to pass on class a drugs hes going down anyway thank god

Yes i am extremely proud of my brother, im proud that he was man enough to stand up and admit that he is a drug addict, and has been admitting it for years, however according to the government cannabis is not an addiction that requires medical attention, in other words they dont see why they should provide treatment for an addiction that is not that much of a problem to society.
In the article they said he was found with class a and class c and a weapon, what it dosent say is that the weapon was a low charge stun gun that was so low in power they didnt even bother sending it to the lab for testing as they knew if it was revealed how low the voltage was it would have been thrown out of court. It also claims that he was stopped near the property twice, in actual fact the first time was 7 miles away from his girlfriends property and the second time was a mile away from her door. Not quite near her property when you consider New Addington from one end to the other is only 3 miles. And yes i understand that the paper is funded by advertising however if the story on the front page is not interesting then no one will read the paper, if no one reads the paper no one will advertise with them.

My problem Sam is that you're justifying his crimes. Having a tazer or stun gun or whatever is illegal. Can you give me one good reason why your brother had that in his possesion?

What about the drugs, he was caught with Class A & Class C drugs. You havent argued with that so that's obviously correct.

Fact is, your brother is on remand, they don't keep a person in prison until trial if they are no threat to the general public. And what about his partner? I dont for one second think she is innocent in all of this but she's now homeless. All for the sake of a bit of puff.

With regards to your brothers addiction, there are groups you can go to locally where you can speak with other people going through the same situation. Perhaps while he is in prison he can deal with his addiction, Might be a bit harsh but if he gets a custodial sentence next week he might actually kick the habit......

I'm sorry Julie but that is THE most stupid comment I've ever read.

You will never have one without the other. One drug dealer rips off another and before you know it you have an all out war on your door step. And thats when innocent people get hurt.

I cant help but think that only a person who uses drugs would make a comment like that. I mean, it's a really REALLY thick thing to say.

Wow. No need to start calling me names. Pretty chilish wouldn't you say? And just to address your anwser:

1. I haven't judged you, I gave my opinion on your comment which was thick.

2. When using a keyboard you don't use a capital letter for every word in the sentence.

3. I have never in my life sent a letter to the Guardian, let alone had one printed.
So only you know what you're talking about.

I never called YOU thick, I said it was a thick thing to say. I dont need to insult people to get my point across. Have you never heard of a difference of opinion?

*Sigh*

Julie, there is no need for all that.

I don't agree with your original comment. I feel like it was a stupid thing to say.

It's extremely childish for you to call me names. It makes you look about 12.
Now, to explain WHY I think your comment was thick:

If I was a drug dealer and someone ripped me off, do you think I am going to go to the police? No they settle things themselves, with knives and guns. What about drug addicts who would happily use a knife to rob someone for drug money? I could go on but I think I've made my point.

To be honest Julie, I'm a grown up and I'm not going to be dragged into a personal argument with you, calling you chilish names etc. But if you think about it, wouldnt you rather have neither drugs or weapons on your street? It would make for a much happier place to live.

Cease Fire?
