A serial rapist who used his career as a music promoter to lure his victims may have attacked girls from Croydon who have yet to come forward, police revealed this week.

Detectives believe 26-year-old Dominic Adimorah, jailed for 18 years last Tuesday for three rapes and one indecent assault, could have attacked other teenagers who may be too scared to report it.

Adimorah frequently operated in Croydon, handing out flyers for his music events in shopping centres and outside schools.

One of his victims, a 15-year-old girl, was approached by him as she shopped in Croydon with a friend last July.

Detective Sergeant Mick Woollard, of the Met Police's racial and violent crime task force, said: "He used to operate in Croydon quite a lot handing out flyers for his events. These were genuine events through his job as a music promoter but we also know this is how he chose his victims.

"He operated in the main shopping centres in Croydon and we know for a fact he handed out flyers outside certain schools in Croydon on more than one occasion."

Adimorah promised girls modelling work and, when they accompanied him to his Deptford home, he plied them with alcohol before attacking them.

His friend Samuel Georgewill, a 23-year-old DJ also from Deptford, was jailed for five years for raping one of the girls.

Police found hundreds of photographs of around 30 girls, some of them indecent, at Adimorah's flat and suspect some of the girls could have been attacked.

D Sgt Woollard added: "They might be feeling very silly and upset at being duped and might be embarrassed about what their parents will say and have shut it away.

"Initially we just want them to come forward, even if they do not want to proceed with any criminal conviction, so they can get help.

"These girls should not be afraid of this man anymore, he is behind bars and will be for a long time."

Despite the convictions, police have not yet closed the case and continue to run an incident room, which can be contacted on 020 8284 8563.
