Police have released images of a suspected sex attacker who has targeted women on buses bound for Croydon.

A man assaulted three women on the number 75 bus from Lewisham to Croydon on February 4 and on November 10 last year and police believe he may have committed more offences.

Detectives also say they believe there have been recent sightings of the man in Selhurst.

On February 4 the man boarded a number 75 bus at Lewisham bus depot.

He sat next to an 18-year-old female passenger at around 9.30am and started chatting to her before sexually assaulting her.

She got off the bus but soon after the man targeted a 17-year-old girl who boarded the bus at Sydenham. He indecently touched her and, when she complained, spat in her face, followed her off the bus and punched her in the face.

Police believe the same man attacked another woman on the same bus route on November 10, 2005, at 3.40pm.

Detective Sergeant Jeff Edwards, from Croydon police's Sapphire Unit, said: "This man has become increasingly violent during his attacks. He has also shown the confidence to commit such crimes on a busy bus in broad daylight, suggesting he has little concern about being caught.

"We have received alleged sightings of this man in the Selhurst Road area, which forms part of the number 75 bus route. I also believe there may be other victims out there who are yet to come forward."
