British Transport Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a fight that occurred between two men on a train travelling to West Croydon last week.

The fight began on a train travelling from Clapham Junction to West Croydon Station at around 7pm last Friday.

PC Joanna Montague from the British Transport Police said: "Two Afro-Caribbean males became involved in a verbal altercation which developed into a fight and both men sustained injuries.

"The fight began as the train was approaching West Croydon railway station and subsequently spilled onto the platform."

Any witnesses who may have been on the train or at the station should contact Croydon BTP on 0208 253 7650.

How can they state Afro-Caribbean? Might have been African, West Indian or perhaps just Black Brits.

Whatever, I'm not surprised.

Perhaps the steel drums around the necks gave it away..!

I love steel drums - in fact, Afro-Caribbeans are far better at music than the rest of us and usually great company on a train (compared with the dark suited miserable looking English people on their way to and from work).
