Mark Dixie
Detectives believe the reason Mark Dixie evaded police for so long is down to his list of aliases.
Throughout his life Dixie has been known by five different names:
Mark Phillip Dixie - this is his father’s surname and is his legal name.
Mark Down - This is his cousin’s surname and was adopted by Dixie as an alias.
Mark James McDonald - This was the name he used while living in Plumstead and is his stepfather’s surname.
Steven McDonald - Reasons unknown
Shane Turner - Reasons unknown

1986
- Convicted for robbery after putting a knife to a girl, robbing her and fondling her breasts.
1987

1988

- Convicted for attacking a doctor outside a hospital.
- Convicted for indecent exposure after exposing his penis to a woman while masturbating. Asked for five other convictions to be taken into consideration.

1989
- Two convictions for shoplifting.
- Convicted for indecent exposure after masturbating against a car window in front of two women.
1990

- Fined for indecent exposure. Dixie drove past a girl running in Perth, pulled over, removed his clothes in a bush and exposed himself while masturbating as she came past.
