Chessington and Hampton Court will be cut off by rail as snow is forecast for this weekend.

Snow began to fall and settle for a short time in Kingston this lunchtime.

Met Office forecasters are predicting heavy snow in Kingston tomorrow morning from about 9am, with freezing temperatures tonight.

Trains between Motspur Park and Chessington South, Surbiton and Hampton Court, and Virginia Water and Weybridge have been cancelled by South West Trains.

There will be no replacement bus service.

An amended rail service will run on all other routes.
