Paris Gayle, 16, from Croydon, is worried about violence in the borough.

She said: "I have lived in Croydon for eight years, I moved here from north London.

"It was alright when I first came, it was actually quite nice. But now it is just trouble. There is so much violence, I do feel safe but it could get worse like it already has and that would not be good at all.

"There used to be a lot more shops as well but so many have closed down recently and there are loads of empty shops in Croydon now. It's actually a real shame."
