Croydon 10k - Runners Prepare

Entries are now being accepted for the Autumn event, a joint Croydon Harriers / Croydon Cultural Services promotion, which will be held on Sunday, October 21.

So keen was veteran enthusiast Ron Williams, the first entrant this year, that he used an old form to get in early!

An amateur palaeontologist from Warlingham, Ron is a familiar and welcome face in the event, as many more are expected to be.

First timers last year, the Ponzio family from New Addington, drove over at the weekend to ensure early entry as well.

Closing date for the cheaper pre-race day entries, is Friday, October 12.

Entry forms and details may be obtained by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope to: Croydon 10k, 2 Ridge Park, Purley, CR8 3PN.

This weekend the Harriers cross-country runners open their season in the East Surrey League Relays on Wimbledon Common on Saturday and in the Surrey County Relay Championships for young athletes at Guildford on Sunday.
