No time to waste as Palace move to fill Freedman's boots asap
3:56pm Thursday 25th October 2012 in Sport By Tim Ashton
These boots are made for walking: Lennie Lawrence will be joining Dougie Freedman at the Reebok Stadium
Crystal Palace will start interviewing candidates for the top job tomorrow (Friday) with a view to having the new man in place as soon as possible.
The news follows the revelation from a source at Bolton that the assistant duo of Lennie Lawrence and Curtis Fleming will be joining Dougie Freedman at Bolton Wanderers, but not until the end of next week.
The Trotters have agreed a compensation package with the Eagles, but the duo will stay on at Selhurst Park until the new manager is found.
However, CPFC co-chairman Stephen Browett said: "Both Lennie Lawrence and Curtis Fleming are both under contract to Crystal Palace and Bolton have made no contact with us regarding them.
"They are preparing the team for our game against Leicester on Saturday and any approach for their services will not be welcomed by us."
More to follow.
