Esher have signed USA international scrum half Robbie Shaw.
The 29-year-old former London Wasps, London Welsh, Connacht, Bristol and Leeds scrum-half was born and raised in England but qualifies for USA due to his mother being born and raised in New York.
His father, a former Oxford University rugby captain, is the reason Shaw got into the sport, and also why he got the chance to qualify for Ireland youth.
Shaw, who briefly played at Molesey Road in 2011, said: "I greatly enjoy the feel of the club, especially the supporters, and I am very happy to come back.
"I look forward to being part of the team and bettering myself at the same time."
He added: "Rugby in the USA is certainly growing, especially sevens now that it is an Olympic sport.
"The US eagles team is growing in depth and experience and many of the players are now finding their way into top flight rugby."
