George Francomb turned down two League One clubs to join Neal Ardley's AFC Wimbledon revolution.
The 21-year-old defender played 16 games on loan at the Dons last season and completed his return on Wednesday on a free transfer having been released by Premier League Norwich City.
He follows goalkeepers Ross Worner and Ashley Bayes, and striker Charlie Sheringham, in committing to Wimbledon this week as Ardley aims to turn the Dons from relegation battlers into promotion candidates.
"George is a very good signing," said Ardley.
"We knew it would take a while over the summer but he turned down two League One clubs to come to us.
"It was always going to be a tough call but we were positive and had to do a few bits and bobs to get him here but we are delighted to have him."
