Crystal Palace on verge of signing former Bordeaux footballer Florian Marange on free transfer
Crystal Palace are on the verge of signing French defender Florian Marange.
The Croydon Guardian understands the left back, who can also play in central defence, is close to being Ian Holloway’s ninth signing of the summer.
Marange, 27, was released by Bordeaux in July. He has also played for Nancy and Le Havre.
The news comes after Palace missed out on Aston Villa striker Darren Bent.
Palace were in the race to sign the striker but it looks like they have been pipped to the post by Fulham, who are managed by Martin Jol, Bent’s former boss at Tottenham.
