Harlequins captain Chris Robshaw has signed an extension to his contract, that will keep him with the club until the end of the 2015-16 season.

Robshaw will also continue as captain for the forthcoming season.

The back row forward has been instrumental in the club’s recent successes and has also proven himself at international level, captaining the England side on 16 occasions.

Robshaw said: “I am honoured to have committed to Harlequins to the end of the 2015-16 season.

“It’s a fantastic club, with huge aspirations, which I am excited to be a part of.

“I have learned so much in my time here and continue to do so from all the people around me, including the coaches and players.

“I am really looking forward to kicking off this season and winning more silverware with this great club.”
