Brentford slumped to a second consecutive home defeat, losing 1-0 to Rotherham United at Griffin Park on Saturday.
The visitors took an early lead via a set piece and defended diligently to deny the home side many chances as the Bees looked devoid of ideas going forward.
Clayton Donaldson had a good early chance for Brentford when he broke through the middle, but his low shot was held by Scott Shearer.
Minutes later the visitors went ahead after Shaleum Logan conceded a free kick wide on the right.
Ben Pringle's perfectly weighted free kick was headed home un challenged at the back post by Mark Bradley.
On the half hour mark Donaldson had another chance when Adam Forshaw's intelligent pass set him up on the left of Rotherham's box, but his attempted chip was saved by Saville.
Bees' boss Uwe Rosler made a change up front at half time, bringing Will Grigg on for Marcello Trotta but it made little difference as the strikers received little service from the midfield.
The visitors broke forward on a number of occasions, with Matt Tubbs seeing his early shot go wide of the left hand post and Alex Revell shooting low across the face of the Bees' goal.
Brentford enjoyed a spell of pressure in the closing stages, with substitute George Saville seeing his powerful shot saved as the Bees slumped to another home defeat.
