Dowson delight at four star Kingstonian
Boss Alan Dowson got his request as four goals from four different scorers handed Kingstonian a 4-1 win over Thamesmead Town on Sunday.
Midfielder Tommy Kavanagh, striker Ryan Moss, winger Charlie Knight and full back Marcus Moody all found the back of the net as Ks cemented their place in the Ryman Premier League top five.
Dowson, who agreed a one year extension to his Kingsmeadow contract at the weekend, had bemoaned his side's over reliance on the goals of free scoring front pair Moss and Andre McCollin - until now.
Former Sutton United man Kavanagh gave Ks a fifth minute lead, but it was not until Moss' header from a Knight cross with 14 minutes to go that Ks managed to go on and make the game safe.
Knight - on his home debut - added a third and Moody wrapped up the scoring after Javal Campbell had pulled one back for the visitors.
"We always needed that second goal and once we got that we relaxed and played," said Dowson.
"There were a few chances that went begging and they had one or two sniffs at goal, so you need to score that second goal as quickly as possible.
"The biggest thing from today was we got a few goals from different areas and that was massively important."
