On loan Cardiff City winger Kadeem Harris delivered the sort of performance boss Uwe Rosler has been craving on Saturday and the Brentford manager reckons it is because the youngster feels right at home.

The 20-year-old capped a man of the match display with a superb individual goal from distance as the Bees thrashed non-League Staines Town 5-0 in the FA Cup first round on Saturday.

Brentford have been short of a natural left winger since Everton loan star McAleny suffered a broken leg against Walsall in August.

But Harris has fitted the bill since his arrival last month and Rosler reckons it is because he is comfortable with his footballing surroundings.

"He loves the style of play we are playing and what we are asking him to play," said the manager.

"He has the right players around him feeding him.

"He has to listen and keep learning, but he has tremendous talent and a good attitude and we are happy to have him."

Rosler hailed his side’s professionalism after handing the Swans thanksin part to Harris’ sparkling display.

His long range effort put the seal on a performance that saw Alan McCormack, Jake Reeves, Marcello Trotta and Clayton Donaldson also get on the scoresheet.

The only down side was the sight of midfielder Jonathan Douglas being forced off at half-time having picked up a knock, although his manager later confirmed he should be fit to face Crewe Alexandra tomorrow.

Happy times: Alan McCormack is a happy man in the 5-0 win over Staines

“After the first 10 minutes we showed our commitment and our professionalism,” said Rosler.

“Our tempo with and without the ball was impressive. We never let the opposition come in to the game.

“Some of the stuff we played in the second half was excellent.

“The number of opportunities we created and our willingness to attack in numbers and with energy, was brilliant.”

And the former Manchester City striker was delighted to be going in to an important run of fixtures – starting with tomorrow’s visit of Crewe Alexandra – in such good shape.

“We have good momentum now with five wins in a row,” he added.

“You cannot say it was only Staines. I have so much respect for the lower leagues, because Staines could have done to us what we did to Chelsea.

“It was up to us to take the game seriously and that is exactly what we did. It was a good win and gives us more confidence.

“We know what Crewe are about. We will prepare in a professional way and look forward to it.”
