Sutton & District AC’s U15 teams were in action at the Surrey county cross-country championship at Denbies Vineyard, Dorking, last weekend.
The girls team, led over the 4.2km course by Georgia Bell (28th, 18 minutes 58 seconds), finished fifth.
Caitlin Williams (29th, 19:02), Any Hancock (47th, 20:54) and Emily Ashwood (21:27) completed the four-to-score.
The boys finished seventh, with Ben Charnock (21st, 16:35) the top man.
Not far behind were Owen Boyd (37th, 17:39), Ryan Galvin (39th, 17:52) and Ayden Wood (48th, 18:13).
Elsewhere, the senior men of Sutton Runners and Tadworth AC had a championships to forget, finishing 16th and 17th respectively in a 19-team strong field.
Tadworth AC’s Paul O’Callaghan showed the best form of either team coming home in 32nd, clocking 47:04.
Sutton Runners also had a solitary figure in the women’s senior race, which saw Elinor Rippard finishing in 39th in 38:19.
