Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis is hoping that new boy Tom Ince will remain an Eagle when his loan spell expires.

Ince signed a deal until the end of the season, turning down Stoke City, Hull City and Swansea City in the process.

However, Pulis is hopeful that Ince will stay at Selhurst Park, having guided Palace to another season in the top flight.

The 22-year-old England U21 winger was unavailable for the Arsenal defeat, although he travelled with the team, but he is expected to line up against West Brom this weekend.

Pulis said: “First of all we hope Tom helps us stay in the Premier League. Then we hope to convince him to stay with us.

“He is a very talented player, and I don’t just mean in terms of scoring goals. He is an intelligent player, he makes good runs and is a real handful.

“He has played something like 100 league games, so it is time for him to make that step up and we are convinced he will cope.”
