Met Police boss Jim Cooper reckons three points this weekend off bottom club Cray Wanderers will secure another season in the Ryman Premier League.

After Tuesday night’s 3-1 win over Enfield Town at Imber Court – thanks to goals from Tom Bird, Tyrone Pink and Tyrone Smith – the Met are 14 points above the dropzone.

Cray, who have conceded 99 goals so far this season, picked up a point in mid-week after a 1-1 draw at home to Hampton & Richmond Borough, leaving Cooper a little wary.

He said: “Cray have had some up and down results this season, so we know we have to be on our game.

“We were good against Enfield, the lads played some nice interactive passing, and we need to take that into the weekend.”

Cooper will still be without the services of Matt Pattison (knee) and Bradley Hudson-Odoi (ankle), but his latest acquisition could make his first start.

Winger Nigel Neita, 21, is getting game time with the Met, while training with Dagenham & Redbridge. The former Arsenal man is a Jamacian international, and is looking for another pro contract.
