Herne Hill Harriers' Saskia Millard was part of a victorious England team as the 13-year-old made her debut in national colours in the Schools International Cross-Country Championships in Bolton.

Millard received a call-up to the England squad after winning the junior girls' race at the English Schools Championships the previous weekend.

Running in the junior girls' event at the Schools International, Millard was seventh overall as England dominated the fixture.

The Alleyn's School pupil was England's fifth counter in a race won by Ireland's Caoimhe Harrington.

Elsewhere, Katie Snowden continued her superb 2014 by anchoring a University of Nottingham team to a clear win at the Ed Prickett road relays in Nottingham

Snowden - who ran a two minutes 4.35 seconds personal best over 800m in February - clocked the second fastest individual leg in the women's race.

Other Herne Herne athletes were preparing for the track and road season at various races across London and the south.

Mike Boyle rolled back the years in finishing seventh and first V50 at the Hillingdon Half Marathon, clocking 76:12.

Jonathan Ratcliffe was 16th and third V45 in 79:02.

After an injury-plagued start to the year, John Kettle impressed in finishing 36th in 33:02 at the Eastleigh 10k, while Jonny Muir posted a personal best time of 34:19 in 65th.

Fourteen-year-old Paul Burgess was the pick of the parkrun athletes, as he finished second at Brockwell Park in 17:10.

Robert Edwards progression towards April's London Marathon was boosted by a 16:48 at Dulwich parkrun, which was good enough for sixth, one place ahead of teenager John Tayleur in 16:55.
