Two Croydon Harriers notched parkrun wins this weekend thanks to Jake English and Alex Penfold.
Penfold, a student at Brunel University, topped the standings at Roundshaw Downs in 18 minutes seven seconds.
Club colleague English meanwhile was first at Crystal Palace for the sixth time in 17:36.
A dozen other Harriers were also in action at parkruns in the area, including eight at Lloyd Park, the fastest of whom was Jordan O’Dongo in 21:25 in ninth.
At the Cranleigh 15-mile road race, Lisa Harris won the women’s category in 1.39:39 - she was seventh overall out of 173 finishers.
In the first outdoor track races of this year at Croydon Arena, nearly 20 Harriers tackled the Sport Relief time challenges.
Kartik Iyer won the A race in 5:01.3 from Omar Harhara in 5:04.2. Stevie Lawrence was the first female finisher in 5:18.8.
More 200 people took part in the mass Sport Relief challenge itself.
