Manager Richard Brady insists the pressure is off his Leatherhead side when they go head-to-head with Guernsey for a place in the Ryman Division One South play-off final.

Tonight's match at Fetcham Grove is expected to be a sell out as the Tanners, who dropped to third in the table despite a 3-0 win over Worthing in the final league fixture last weekend, host the Channel Islanders in a winner takes all clash.

Awaiting the victor will be either Folkestone Invicta or Hastings United, who also meet tonight, in the final on Saturday.

Brady said: "Our target at the beginning of the season was to be in the play-offs come the end, and we've achieved that - so in reality there is no pressure on the players.

"Of course we want to reach the final and get promoted, but it is not easy winning back to back games, and in one-off matches anything can happen."

He added: "Do we have advantage being at home? Possibly, we always get a good crowd when we have big games.

"But things can change in the blink of an eye, and the outcome can hinge on the smallest of incidents.

"Just ask Burgess Hill, they were in the play-offs until they conceded a goal in the final minute of the season.

"What will be, will be."

The record between Leatherhead and Guernsey this season seems to support Brady's prophecy of a close battle.

When Guernsey visited Fetcham Grove in November, the Tanners ran out 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Leory Griffiths and Ian Draycott.

However, when Leatherhead made the trip over the English Channel in March, it was their turn to be on the end of a 2-0 defeat.

Brady's only fitness concern surrounds Paul Semakula, who may only make the bench.
