What a season it has turned out to be: Crystal Palace are sitting pretty in mid-table and do not even need to worry about staying up.

It is a far cry from the dark days of October, when previous manager Ian Holloway left under a cloud and the Eagles had only three points after nine games.

Then Tony Pulis took over, got them promoted with wins against Chelsea, Aston Villa and away at Everton, and has just won April's manager of the month award.

But was just the Pulis factor? What else has contributed to this remarkable turn-around?
